Best Cheap Skateboard Bearings

bearings011.jpgIf your on a budget and looking for cheap skateboard bearings our advice would be to avoid the cheap Chinese bearings on Ebay and Amazon and instead get one of these sets that we have reviewed and fully tested here as each set is under £15

Mini Logo

Mini logo bearings were the first budget bearing to be released by a major skate brand over 15 years ago. These cheap bearings are less than £10 and are a solid entry-level set of bearings. If you’re looking for more information or to buy a set of mini logo bearings

Spitfire Cheapshots

Although these bearings are only equivalent to ABEC 3 they are as good as any other bearing reviewed on this page in our opinion. These all-steel bearings come with removable shields so can be easily cleaned and maintained. They also come pre-greased so they provide a smooth rolling action right out of the box. These all-black spitfire bearings are a bargain at under £10 and due to the price, they get a 4 out of 5 star review from us. You can buy a set of Spitfire cheapshot bearings

Spitfire Classics

The cheapest ABEC 5 equivalent Spitfire bearings and these are a step up from the cheapshot for sure but not by much. You do get impact resistant removable nylon cages
as well as heat resistant chromium steel rings within the bearing but from a performance point the difference is minimal. These are a mid-priced bearing from Spitfire designed as a Bones REDS equivalent. They are faster than their cheaper counterparts and can be maintained due to their removable shields. Spitfire are a brand you can trust, everything they make is good quality and these are no exception… You can buy a set of spitfire classic bearings if your looking for a retailer

Independent ABEC 5’s

Independent GP-R reds bearings at only £13 ($16) are another good cheap skateboard bearing to consider, these Indy bearings have removable, non-contact labyrinth outer shields and Micro-polished steel races. We’ve tested a number of sets and these are a really good cheap option if you need to save a few pounds. For more info and to buy these bearings you can fit a set of these Independent skateboard bearings here

Our advice if you can spare a few extra pounds would to always spend a bit extra and get a set of the worlds no1 selling Bones Reds Bearings at just £19.99, we’ve reviewed these here and its pretty much the defacto choice for the majority of skateboarders but if your on a tight budget you can’t go wrong with any of the bearings we’ve reviewed on this post.
